We do not sell products, so there is nothing to post back to us. This page covers quotes, cancellations and what happens if you are not happy with work we have done.
Quotes cost you nothing
Requesting a quote is free and accepting one is entirely your call. There is no charge for us coming out to look at a job and no obligation to book us afterwards.
Cancelling or rescheduling a booking
If something comes up and you need to move or cancel, let us know as early as you reasonably can. Giving us notice means we can offer the slot to someone else, and it means we are not turning up to a locked gate.
We do not charge a cancellation fee for a booking you move in good time. If we have already ordered materials specifically for your job, we will talk to you about the cost of those before anything else happens.
Deposits
Most jobs do not need one. Where a job requires materials to be ordered in, we may ask for a deposit to cover them, and the amount will be written into the quote before you accept it.
If you cancel after we have bought materials that cannot be returned, the deposit covers those materials. Anything left over comes back to you.
If you are not happy with the work
Tell us. Contact us within a reasonable time of the job finishing, explain what the problem is and send a photo if you can.
If it is something we got wrong, we will come back and put it right at no charge to you. That is the whole point of using a local tradesman rather than someone you will never see again.
What we cannot fix
Some results are limited by the surface itself rather than by the work. Deeply etched concrete, oil that has soaked in over years, paint that has already failed and rust staining may improve a great deal without coming back to new.
Where we can see that beforehand we will tell you before you commit, so you can decide whether the job is worth doing. We would rather talk you out of a job than take your money for a result you will not be happy with.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for the purpose you told us about, and be delivered within a reasonable time.
If we fail to meet one of those guarantees you are entitled to have the problem fixed. Where the failure is major, you may cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion of the service, plus compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss. Nothing on this page limits those rights.
